Features Mips safety system to counter rotational forces, ABS safety shell to disperse impact energy, and cork/polymer fusion core for superior shock absorption. Most modern riding helmets only protect against linear force, as when a helmet falls directly and straight onto the ground. But any fall from a moving horse involves an oblique impact. These impacts can cause rotational motion that can overstretch your brain and lead to serious injury. The Hybrid 1.0 is equipped with the MIPS rotation protection system to protect against rotational movements. The MIPS system reduces rotational movement through a low-friction layer inside the helmet that allows 10-15 mm of multidirectional movement at certain impact angles. The layer is specially designed to reduce and counteract the rotational forces acting on the head.

All our helmets are tested and approved according to CE directives. The earlier standard was called EN 1384 2017.
It has now been updated and is called VG1 01.040 2021.

 The Hybrid 1.0 helmet is designed to use the Tocsen Crash Sensor for riders who want to increase their safety. The Tocsen Crash Sensor allows riders to be out and about with their horse without ever risking being cut off from civilization. In the event of an emergency, the sensor triggers an SMS and APP message with the rider's location to emergency contacts and the Tocsen Rescue Community immediately after a fall. The Tocsen rescue community consists of over 30,000 riders, cyclists, hikers and others who use the free safety APP. This way, the closest users nearby are alerted. And riders who have fallen and feel fine can signal OK at any time via the app. The sensor's battery works for about three months and can be easily recharged via micro USB, plus it is weatherproof.
